At ThriftBig, we value our customers and are committed to providing excellent service. We strive to ensure every customer is satisfied with their purchase. However, we acknowledge that sometimes things may not go as planned. This policy outlines the conditions under which returns and refunds may be processed.

Condition of Sale

All sales are final on ThriftBig and all items are sold on an “As Is” basis. However, buyers may return and request a refund if:

  • The item is significantly different from the pictures provided in the listing.
  • The item sustains major damage during shipping, significantly impacting its usability or value.

Our ability to offer returns and refunds is influenced by the policies of the local thrift stores where we source items. Please review the return conditions below carefully.

Eligibility for Returns

Returns are only accepted under the following conditions:

  • Visual Accuracy: The item received must match the item as pictured. Discrepancies in titles, descriptions, dimensions, or other listing text are not grounds for returns.
  • Significant Discrepancy: Returns may be approved if the item received is demonstrably different from the item pictured (e.g., it is a different product, significantly damaged compared to the photo).
  • Shipping Damage: Items damaged during shipping may qualify for a return if the damage significantly affects the item’s usability or value.

Non-Eligible Scenarios for Returns

  • Variations in title, descriptions, dimensions, or other written text compared to the actual product.
  • Differences in color or appearance due to lighting or photographic effects.
  • Normal wear and tear expected in secondhand items.
  • Buyer’s remorse or change of mind.
  • Items purchased with the local pickup option that have left the store.

Return Process:

To initiate a return:

  1. Contact Us: Contact us within 30 minutes of receiving an item. Include your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos showing the discrepancy or damage.

2. Evaluation: Our team will review your claim to determine eligibility.

Refund Policy

  • Approved Returns: Refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5-10 business days after the returned item is received and evaluated.
  • Shipping Costs: Original shipping and home delivery fees are non-refundable.
  • Return processing fees: A 10% return processing fee will apply to all returns.
  • Local Pickup: If an item purchased for local pickup is not collected by the end of the business day, your order may be canceled, and the item may be relisted. Refunds for local pickup are only available if the item is significantly different from the listing photo and has not left the store.

Additional Notes

  • All sales are final unless they meet the return eligibility criteria outlined above.
  • Refunds may take 5-10 business days to appear in your account once processed.
  • In rare cases, items may sell out before your order is processed. If this happens, we will notify you promptly and issue a full refund.
